Ok, so you're hanging out with some of your friends (and no doubt, you're a popular guy so you've got a lot of friends hanging around you) - most of which are guys.

All of a sudden, you spot a gorgeous girl off in the distance, who is sitting with a few of her friends (who are mostly girls).

Pop quiz.

What is the first thing that you should do?

a) Run up to her with your friends and introduce yourself, and your buddies to her and her friends.

b) Go up to her by yourself and introduce yourself.

c) Do nothing - act like you don't even notice her.

d) All of the above.

e) None of the above.

Answer: None of the above.

The FIRST thing that you need to do is see if she's interested in you from a distance. You need to find out if she will let you get closer.

How do you do that?

Easy.

By glancing in her direction. You want to play it cool.

Give her a few brief glances every 5 minutes or so, and see if she returns your glances, or is looking at you.

You want this to occur a few times first. You don't want to go running over there if she only happened to look in your direction once.

You want to see if there's a pattern developing here, like whenever you look in her direction, you find her looking back at you.

If she is, then you've got a green light to go ahead and approach her. If not, then you need to try another tactic.

If you feel that she IS in fact looking at you, try to hold her gaze for 1-2 seconds before giving her a little smile (almost a smirk, as if you thought something was funny), and slowly look away to the side (or return to a conversation with your buddies).

This will give her the message that you might be interested in her, and the little smile helps break the tension a little - like you don't take things too seriously, and that you know how to have a good time.
