New Orleans Mayor Ray Negen in Run Off Election

Author: Lance Winslow

We all know of New Orleans Mayor Ray Negen, who is not in a run off election and running for his political life. Many blamed him for the chaos after Hurricane Katrina and he started a firestorm of political fury by blaming everyone else for Mother Natures wrath and his inability to lead, plan or prepare for that almost certain pre-forewarned tragedy.

Well today it looks like Ray Negen is in a run off for Mayor now. After the 'chocolate people' comment he made about the folks and demographic of his city, it looks as if many are quite annoyed with his behavior indeed. And then there was the 1500 empty buses which were flooded which could have taken people away from the city. That story sure hurt his disaster planning skill ability, which he trumpeted to no end?

Then there was all the other issues with Police Looting and their botched PR, and blame game, I am not surprised in this close election or the fact that he is now in a run-off election and will surely become one more political casualty of the 2005 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season, like FEMA director Brown. Only difference is Ray Negens poor leadership was really the cause of all those deaths and botched emergency evacuation plans. Perhaps I might even go so far as to predict he is defeated by a rather significant large margin in the run off election, as his opponent will not split votes next time. Consider this before Hurricane Season 2006.

Currently Lance is retired at age 40 and is running an Online Think Tank Forum while traveling North America. Perhaps considering something extremely challenging to do that will exercise his mind and utilize all his experiences, observations and skills. Any ideas?
