Today, I called a successful web site marketing company in another part of Australia to ask their Managing Director a few questions.

This company has had rapid growth in the past 12 months and I was particularly interested in his philosophy, his marketing techniques, and how they were managing the rapid growth.

The point is, I told him who I was, and that I had a web site marketing company in Melbourne, Australia. I had heard him on a podcast being interviewed, and wondered if I could ask him a couple of questions.

He spent plenty of time telling me about his philosophy, his marketing techniques, and how they were managing the rapid growth. He did this without considering me a competitor.

I've always found that most people who are confident and successful in business are happy to share their thoughts if you just ask.
